Philips 3D TVs
Philips have introduced a range of 3D and 3D ready TVs to their line. Recognising that some viewers aren’t fully ready for the 3D experience they have a range of televisions which come 3D ready, so when you do decide that 3D is most definitely for you, then it’s easy to convert by simply getting hold of an upgrade kit.
Using 3D glasses to attain the full 3D experience, Philips has issued a range of active shutter glasses with a built in transmitter to connect with the TV. However, most recently Philips have announced that they expect to have autostereoscopic – aka glasses free TV – available for consumer purchase by 2013.
Early viewings of the Philips glasses free 3D TV have proven highly positive in their feedback. Cited as being less impactful than the active shutter glasses version, the 3D effect is presented in a subtle, perhaps understated manner, but still makes quite an impression on the overall viewing experience, drawing the viewer in and enhancing the experience without being intrusive. With this new technology Philips have managed to maintain a very high level of picture quality, with crisp, clear imagery and great sharp edges for fast motion pictures and sports.
Thanks!
Philips,
